PATIENT FEE INFORMATION FOR GP CONSULTATIONS
(Effective 1/1/2017)

As a private general practice, our aim is to provide you with the very best care and service. We would like you to feel that you are not being rushed, that our doctors are attentive and that they explain things clearly.

Our fees are structured to reflect the time you spend with the doctor as well as the number and complexity of matters discussed during your consultation.

PRIVATE PATIENTS - non concession card holders.

CONCESSION PATIENTS - includes Pensioner Card, Health Care Card and Commonwealth Seniors Card holders

The first and each alternate visit will be bulk billed.

A gap payment will generally be charged for every alternate visit (including evenings after 6pm and Saturdays).

For appointments on weekdays before 6pm, our fees are listed below together with the rebate you will receive from Medicare and your out-of-pocket cost (gap payment):

For private patients, appointments after 6pm on weekdays and Saturdays will incur an additional fee of $5.

All patients are expected to settle their account on the day.
Tyro Medicare Easyclaim is provided for your convenience – please ask our friendly receptionists for more information.

Takeaway accounts will incur an administration charge of $10 - $12.

Please note that all patients may be charged for some services and consumables, for example:

REPEAT SCRIPTS WITHOUT CONSULTATION

To ensure patient safety, repeat scripts will only be written without a GP consultation in extreme circumstances. If you require a repeat on your medication, we strongly advise that you arrange an appointment in advance. Rapid Clinic appointments are suitable for prescription only consultations and may be bulk-billed.

For requests of repeat scripts without a GP consultation, fees apply as follows:

PAYMENT OPTIONS

All patients are expected to settle their account on the day.

Payments can be made by cash, cheque, major credit cards (Visa/Mastercard only) and EFTPOS. Medicare claims are sent for processing online.

TYRO MEDICARE EASYCLAIM is available. When paying your account in full, this allows an instant refund of the Medicare/government rebate from Medicare to your Cheque or Savings account using our integrated EFTPOS machine.

We are aware that financial difficulties may arise from out-of-pocket medical costs and we are committed to providing equitable and timely medical and health care services to meet your needs. Please discuss with your doctor any financial concerns you have at the time of your consultation.

Unpaid accounts will be directed to our debt collection agency.
