Testimonials from Springs Medical Centre GP Registrars:

"Having spent nearly a year already working at Springs Medical Centre, I can definitely say it's a great place to work!
The facilities here are amazing. The Daylesford clinic was purpose built, and there are chronic disease nurses, physiotherapist, podiatry and psychology onsite.
We also regularly have access to visit specialists including surgeons, a cardiologist and an endocrinologist; this a great service to have access to rurally.
The staff are all lovely, and there is a good level of support from the GPs.  Everybody is very welcoming and they go out of their way to make you feel part of the team and the local community.
All in all a fabulous medical centre in a lovely little town"

“Fantastic medical centre with very supportive and friendly staff.
Regular teaching sessions with different supervisors are very useful.
Ideal place to work and learn. I wish my future medical centre was like this.
And, of course, a beautiful town”

“I was fortunate to spend my first term at Springs Medical Centre. It really helped my transition from hospital residency to rural GP land. Not only that I had the luxury of excellent teaching and supervision, I also found the staff very friendly and helpful. I really felt welcomed and well-looked after. The patients are friendly and happy to have GP registrars around. I had exposure to a broad range of cases to learn from. The hospital and A&E also added variety and excitement to my work. It was overwhelming to be the only doctor on for the town for the first time, but my supervisors were only a phone call away and I could always ring external resources (RVEEH, Ballarat Base, The Alfred, etc) for advice if in doubt.
The town itself was beautiful. I woke up to the sound of kookaburras and the sight of cockatoos in my backyard. My little boy and I loved spending quality time around the lake, enjoying the fresh air, and drop by for honey tasting before taking one or two jars of fresh, delicious, cold-processed honey home”
