John studied medicine at Trinity College Dublin, graduating in 2012. He completed his 4-year GP programme in Ireland, obtaining membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners. Prior to this, he completed 2 years of basic physician training and the membership exams to the Royal College of Physicians.
His training has offered him broad clinical exposure working in paediatrics, dermatology, infectious diseases, psychiatry, palliative care and obstetrics and gynaecology. His special interests include sexual health and men’s health, having fostered these skills while working in the Gay Men’s Health Service in Dublin.
John enjoys the diversity of general practice and his passion is to maximise patient and community health in a holistic manner. He is looking forward to becoming a part of the vibrant community in Kyneton.
In his free time, he enjoys rowing and is a try hard tennis player. He still harbours an unrealistic dream of playing at the Australian Open!
