Dr Brad Wyer has been at Springs since 2009 and a practice owner since 2014. A Queensland trained doctor, he moved around the state and overseas, training as a rural GP in Western QLD before settling in Victoria. Over his time, he has overseen the foundation of the Spring in Your Step program, ran online education evenings, and chaired Springs through the first year of the horror that was COVID. He instigated the two team program through COVID (Brad and Not Brad Team), a program to maintain staff safety and to always mean we had a functioning health service through the height of COVID in the community. Brad is extremely proud of what Springs Medical has become and prides himself on forever looking for ways to innovate and improve patient care.
He is proud of the education and training Springs brings to our future GP’s as being a supervisor. He also is the GP VMO Liaison Officer for Daylesford Hospital and Trentham Aged Care, working in conjunction with the hospital to support the talented doctors working there.
Over the years he has been in the Central Highlands community, he has been involved in the local soccer club, along with serving over 10 years at Trentham School Council and being its president for a period of time. He currently prides himself on supporting his beloved for the Daylesford Highland Gathering held in December each year. He enjoys cooking and sport, in particular soccer and his mighty Liverpool, though always happy to talk Brisbane Lions too.
He enjoys all aspects of General Practice, but has special interest in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment holding the Advanced Diploma from the Australian College of Cutaneous Oncology, Men’s Health, Cardiac Health and Aged Care.
Over his time he has witnessed the retirement of his esteemed colleagues who between them had over 150 years of experience working in Daylesford, to now realise he is the most senior member of the current Doctor Group. He is most proud of the quality of care Springs brings to their patient by supporting a work environment for all staff to enjoy and thrive in, while being connected to our wonderful community.
You’ll Never Walk Alone.
