Education And Training

Investing in the future of rural health

Springs Medical is an accredited training practice with over 20 years’ experience supporting both undergraduate and postgraduate education for the next generation of General Practitioners and Primary Care Nurses.

GP Registrar Training

We are accredited training providers for both the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), and we typically support 6–8 GP registrars at any one time across our sites.

Our teaching environment is collaborative, supportive and designed to develop skills in integrated, team-based primary care. Registrars benefit from close supervision by experienced GP supervisors, multidisciplinary exposure, and hands-on learning in both larger and smaller practice settings.

Why choose Springs Medical for GP training?

  • Diverse and modern clinical environments across Daylesford, Trentham and Kyneton
  • 15 GPs, 8 GP Registrars, a skilled nursing team, allied health, visiting specialists, and onsite pathology
  • Strong links with Daylesford Hospital and local aged care facilities through VMO appointments
  • Supportive teaching culture and strong clinical leadership
  • A friendly and welcoming community, located just 90 minutes from Melbourne
